Sa Torre Cega, the perfect symbiosis between architecture, art and landscaping

Sa Torre Cega (The Blind Tower) is a magnificent summer villa purchased by the March Servera family in 1915.

Located in the unique coastal setting of Cala Rajada, this house, in the Regionalist style, is surrounded by large gardens and was built where an ancient watchtower once stood, following a project by the prestigious Majorcan architect Guillem Reynés (1877-1918).

The site, currently managed by the Bartolomé March Foundation, is famous for its exteriors. The house is surrounded by a beautifully-maintained botanical garden that has been modified over the passing of time by different landscape gardeners such as Russell Page, Leandro Silva Delgado and Gabriel Alomar Esteve. The result of their combined work is a stunning setting of outstanding grace and harmony.

The gardens of Sa Torre Cega can currently be visited throughout the year and house an important collection of contemporary sculptures offering a coherent and bold dialogue between art and nature. This is an eclectic compilation of sculptural art works that present abstract and figurative pieces by eminent artists such as Xavier Corberó, Francisco Otero Besteiro, Eusebio Semper, Juan de Ávalos and others.

The gardens are also the setting for the now traditional and renowned Serenates d’estiu. These are concerts that are open to the public during the summer, as the name in Catalan indicates.
