Lobster - The Vintage 1934 Star

This crustacean is featured in the most highly appreciated and requested dish at Vintage 1934

With fine white, compact and very delicate meat, lobster is one of the healthiest and most delicious crustaceans found in the sea.

Mediterranean red lobster is very low in fat and rich in vitamins and minerals.

Historically, it's been and is one of the most highly appreciated foods, especially in coastal towns, because of its characteristics and exquisiteness.

A night hunter, this highly valued crustacean breeds in the rocks at a depth of between 20 and 150 metres and can live up to 50 years.

Gastronomically, it has to be cooked fresh and just out of the water in order to appreciate all the rich flavour. That's why the restaurant Vintage 1934, located at Cap Vermell Beach Hotel, has its own dual stone hatchery which was built between 1970 and 1976.

Nearly 12 tonnes of seawater hold 100% Balearic Island lobsters weighing up to one kilo during the summer season.

It's a quality guarantee for our star dish: flambeed spiny lobster in aioli sauce with crunchy potatoes and fried eggs.
